Sunday Supper at Union Market, a collaboration of the James Beard Foundation and EDENS, one of the nation’s leading retail real estate companies, continues the tradition of gathering around the table to celebrate the people and passion behind great food. As with any true family meal, diners share a communal table with the chefs, artisans, community advocates and thought leaders who are shaping our food-ways.
Sunday Supper also supports the James Beard Foundation’s Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (WEL) program. The program is designed to identify, cultivate and advance the next generation of women business leaders. As part of the James Beard Foundation’s efforts to target gender imbalance in the restaurant industry, and with the support of founding partner Women Chefs and Restaurateurs (WCR), the program seeks to address the drastically low percentage of women in executive and ownership positions in the food industry. This unique fellowship program is presented by Babson College, the nation’s leading school for entrepreneurship, and will allow women owners to gain the tools, techniques, and financial training needed to open and operate thriving, scalable businesses.
